Purpose of data processing

To all customer questions, questions of visitors of our website as well as all those interested, our customer service that processes different queries associated with e.g. your account and services or orders in the online shop will be happy to respond to, as well as to all other queries associated with Gigimigi. In order to make quality processing in the increased query range as well as ensuring the same level of quality within the company, there is a possibility of forwarding the prompts to another society, while processing personal data of all entities are subject to the same regulations on personal data protection. We are always respond on inquiries in the Croatian language.

You can contact us electronically through the inquiry form. You can also send your inquiry to customer service also via email or telephone. Please note that correspondence by e-mail is not coded for now.

If you have established communication with us, we use your information to answer your inquiry and can continue to communicate with you. If you have given us information about a third party, please also inform this third person about processing the data we carry out, and especially that we have received this information from you.

If you use the ability to communicate with us and get in touch with us, we will, if necessary in order to process your query, identify and guide with you in written communication, e.g. in the queries associated with the registration process.

 

Legal basis

The legal basis for data processing associated with your communication with our customer service is Art. 6. st. 1. b) GDPR, if the query is associated with the conclusion of the contract. For respondents related to the realization of respondents' rights, the legal basis is Art. 6. st. 1. c) GDPR. In other cases, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6. st. 1 f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest to process received effectively and document the result of processing in case of receiving additional queries with the previously processed query as well as to comply with the legal obligations of data protection officer.

Storage period

We store all inquiries made with Gigimigi Customer Service.

Based on our legitimate interest, the data is stored up to a maximum of 6 years from the conclusion of the query processing when the elements of entry that enable identification is generally deleted.

General on business communication with suppliers / external counselors / freelancers

Purpose of data processing

If you establish a contact with us associated with a business cooperation (e.g. as a supplier or business partner), we will generally receive contact person personal information. We are processing them within the processing of business correspondence and, if necessary, to implement the prerequisite actions and / or concluding the contract. If you have provided us with the data of the additional contact person, please inform this person of the data processing we carry out, and especially that we have received data from you. 

 

Legal basis

The legal basis for data processing associated related to business communication is Art. 6. st. 1. b) GDPR, if the query is associated with the conclusion of the contract. In other cases, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6. st. 1 f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest to lead business communication in written and document the result of the processing in case of receiving additional queries with the previously processed query. In the last-mentioned case, on the basis of the Article 21 GDPR, you have the right to make a complaint to the personal data processing.

 

Storage period

We store business correspondence in our systems, and we lead the contracts in our contract management system to ensure systematic processing and documentation.

Depending on the type of data and the purpose of their collection, different deadlines are applied compared to the storage period or deletion. We have defined them through application of legal regulations and the principle of reducing the amount of data. Fixed deadlines arise, for example, from the rules of tax law and company law or concluded contracts.

Queries related to data protection

Purpose of data processing

Inquiries related to data protection regulations, which are processed by Gigimigi Customer Service and our Data Protection Officer, are stored to process and document the processing of your inquiry and to comply with legal obligations to supervisory authorities. Mandatory information (e.g. name, surname, date of birth, address) must be provided so that we can identify you as the person authorized to make the inquiry. Additional voluntarily entered data can make your query more accurate and possibly increase the range of personal data.

The legal basis for data processing within the inquiry referred to in point I is Art. 6 st. 1. c) GDPR in relation to compliance with legal obligations, i.e Art. 6 st. 1. f) GDPR in relation to our legitimate interest to process the received inquiries and document the result in case of additional inquiries to the processed inquiry

 

Storage period

We will delete the written communication created after the receipt of your request after the end of the processing no later than 6 years, unless you submit a request for deletion. In the case of a request for deletion, only the data necessary to prove the deletion in accordance with the prescribed retention periods will remain stored.

Recipients and transfer of data to third countries

In principle, we do not transfer your data to third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so (for example in the case of a summons by a law enforcement authority) or if we need it to conduct business processes or use it under a data processing contract. Third parties are, for example, providers of order processing services, support services in the form of external call centers or also IT services. In all cases, we strictly follow the legal provisions.

It is also possible to transfer data to other countries where the above-mentioned contractual partners may have their registered office or process data. These are primarily the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) and some non-EEA countries. These countries may apply data protection rules that protect more or less than European Union rules. A possible consequence of this is that e.g. your data may be processed by government authorities for control and supervision purposes, perhaps without the possibility of a remedy. In the event that personal data is processed outside the European Union and there is no decision of the European Commission on appropriate data protection, we implement appropriate protection measures, including contracting standard EU clauses on data protection

Specific information on the right to object in accordance with Art. 21. of GDPR

Based on your specific situation, at any time you have the right to file an objection to the processing of personal data that relate to you, and are processed in accordance with Art. 6. st. 1. f) GDPR (data processing for the purpose of protection of legitimate interest). This also applies to the creation of profiles based on the same legal basis (Art. 4, item 4 of the GDPR).

If you make an objection, we will no longer process your personal information unless we can prove that there are convincing and justified reasons that go beyond your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves to establish, realize or defend the legal requirements. If your objection is about processing your data for advertising purposes based on Art. 6. 1. f) GDPR, we will terminate processing without delay and without further verification. This is also applied to the preparation of the profile that comes in such circumstances.
